Lena:Emil Kramheller

Lena:Emil Kramheller is a sociologist specialising in gender and queer studies as well as sociology of the body. Lena:Emil has been a doctoral researcher in the CRC “Sexdiversity” since 2024 and is researching on the intelligibility of the non-binary. After graduating in Health Science at the Technical University of Munich, Lena:Emil decided to do a Master's degree in Sociology with a focus on culture, gender and difference as well as qualitative social research at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. In their master's thesis, entitled Doing non-binary - on the doing, passing and failure of the queer, Lena:Emil explored the social recognition of non-binary in hegemonic systems of interpretation.
