Leticia M. Ambrozini is a PhD candidate at the University of Lübeck since 2023 and a member of the Collaborative Research Center CRC/SFB 1665 SexDiversity. She holds a degree in Biomedical Sciences (2018) and earned master’s degrees in Biosciences and Biotechnology Applied to Pharmacy (2021) and in Medical Sciences (2024). Her training has provided her with a strong background in genetics, molecular biology, and translational research. Throughout her academic career, she has worked on a range of biomedical topics, from parasitology to rare genetic diseases, which shaped her interest in human developmental biology. Her doctoral research focuses on the molecular basis of disorders/differences of sex development (DSD). By integrating transcriptomic and spatial transcriptomic approaches, she investigates human gonadal tissues to characterize cell populations and gene regulatory networks involved in sex determination and gonadal differentiation. Her goal is to advance the understanding of human sex development and contribute to improved diagnosis and clinical management of individuals with DSD.
