Best Practices in Gender-Sensitive Health Care: A Workshop for Health Care Professionals

Date: Tuesday, November 25, 2025
Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: MachBar (Einsiedelstraße 6, Halle 48, 23554 Lübeck)

This workshop invites experts from various fields of health care. Together with researchers from the Collaborative Research Center “Sexdiversity” (CRC 1665), the workshop will explore the challenges facing gender-sensitive medicine and health care, and how these challenges can be addressed. Participants will exchange experiences from research, clinical practice, and teaching.

The aim of the workshop is to foster an exchange between researchers from CRC 1665 “Sexdiversity,” academic educators, and medical practitioners on the topic of gender diversity, trans, intersex, and non-binary individuals (TIN*) in health care, as well as differences in sex development (DSD). The workshop is designed to facilitate productive dialogue.

The event is organized by the “Interacting” Working Group of the CRC, Project Z02 (Prof. Dr. med. Olaf Hiort), and Project Z05 “Gender Diversity in Public Engagement and Science Communication” (Prof. Dr. Lisa Malich, Prof. Dr. Christoph Rehmann-Sutter, coordinator Dr. Juliane Scholz).
