Dr. Lina Jegodzinski is a resident physician and clinician scientist in the Department of Medicine I at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Campus Lübeck. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Lübeck and conducts her research in Prof. Marquardt’s laboratory, focusing on the epigenetic regulation of metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Her work combines in vivo and ex vivo approaches, including precision-cut liver slices (PCLS), to elucidate molecular mechanisms underlying disease progression. Dr. Jegodzinski has established a well-characterized clinical MASLD/MASH cohort to strengthen the translational link between experimental findings and clinical research.
As part of the Early Career Research Grant 2025 within the Collaborative Research Center, she collaborates with Dr. Jakob Meinel on a project investigating obesity-driven acquired sex diversity and its impact on MASLD progression..
